Specialised translations: Linguistic knowledge meets industry know-how

In principle, I translate texts from any field from English into German. However, thanks to training in the form of remote studies, regular courses as well as close cooperation with companies from the relevant sectors, I have specialised in the following areas in particular:

Medical: medical market research (screeners, discussion guides, stimuli), clinical trials (patient information, informed consent)
Human rights: Human rights studies (Sorcery Accusation-Related Violence in Papua New Guinea [.pdf]), country reports on religious freedom(Indonesia [.pdf])

My way of working

Close cooperation with my clients
Use of the leading translation memory software SDL Trados Studio as a database in which the content I translate is collected. The advantage: linguistic consistency and optimal quality assurance
I do not simply translate, I scrutinise the source text and give suggestions for possible adaptations (regarding cultural matters specific to Germany, technical terms, guidelines, etc.).

The result: accurate translations that are easy to read and specific to the target audience.
